What to Expect
At your first visit:
- You will complete several forms with demographic, medical history, social history, insurance information, etc.
- I will interview you to learn more about your medical history, goals, and current problem.
- I will conduct a physical therapy evaluation looking at your range of motion, strength, posture, flexibility, etc.
- If time permits, I will teach you exercises and/or perform physical therapy treatments.
- We will discuss your plan of care including how you view your role in physical therapy.
After your first visit:
- I will write a summary of evaluation and send it to your primary care provider.
- I will set up the billing process with my billing contractor, Preferred Medical Billing, Inc of Derry, NH. They will bill your insurance carrier and send you a monthly summary of charges and payments.
At follow-up visits:
- You will update me on your current status.
- We will review and advance your exercise program as appropriate.
- I will perform physical therapy treatments as appropriate.
- Every 4 to 6 weeks, I will perform a re-evaluation to measure your progress towards your goals.
